This has been mentioned in other places but, for lots of people this exploit doesn't work and just says you need to enter a valid mac address. The check should either be dropped, or the db needs to be updated.

I backedup my wii nand and used dupmii to install the trucha bug. it seemed to work but then both mario kart and mario kart channel stoped working i tried loading them through gecko but it said that ios 58 was required i tried to install it but it didn't work so i tried getting my ios back to 4.3 level then the homebrew channel litteraly turned upsidedown the wii menu works and everything else works fine. finally i tried to restore wii nand to hopefully get the ios back with it but when i tried to restore it it said boot2 was suggested however i have the new boot1 so i tried to continue but it says try harder something it also had konami up so i tried the konami code but it didn't work!

Did you ever use grub2 for linux? Its a bootloader with a key-feature thats
missing in bootmii -> configurable autoboot.

Once grub starts, there is a counter on the bottom counting to zero. Once
its at zero, grub activates the current selection in the "select os"-menu.
If you ever move the selection or interact in any way, grub stops that
counter for the session.

Think about having this in bootmii.
bootmii@boot2users wouldnt have to start their wii using the
gamecube-controller/wii-console-buttons but just wait a few (configured)
seconds.

Please add automatic .sha1 file creation during nand backup for every file created during backup.

Doing it this way is not cool:
Write nand files to SD. Then read them back from SD only for sha1s creation.

I'm thinking more about:
For every chunk of data which is send to file system use same chunk again and pass to sha1 computation function.

Why this approach?
There are lots of SD cards types. Some of them are good/reliable, some aren't.
When user verifies sha1 it knows that data matches sha1 and also know that this data is valid from backup point of view.

When powering on with my Lexar 4GB microSDHC Card (AA479BAT) in, the disc light flashes a couple of times and then hangs on a black screen. BootMii works when launched through the Homebrew Channel though, as well as being able to get a successful NAND backup. My SD card is formatted in FAT32 if that makes a difference.

Hi,

I have classic controller pro which looks like original/legit/nintendo one.
But in there days looks like everything is copied an manufactured by someone else without any proper QA.

If I launch HBC wiimote alone works just fine.
When I attach classic controller pro on screen pointer starts to became unresponsive.
Yes, I can move it (cursor) around the screen but this movement isn't smooth. Instead cursor moves by jumps.

I understand that this bug might be related to some outdated/broken library which needs some fix. If it so, then please redirect me to appropriate place for bug submission.

Regards

We had a few hickups in the the last release. This task will always contain fresh binaries as we solve more problems. To apply these fixes, just replace your files in /bootmii on your sd card with the attachment here - you don't have to reinstall anything.

If you discover new problems, please add a new task for it instead of mentioning it in here.

If you think a mentioned bugfix is not solved with the binary here, please do mention that :)

Instead of mirroring the binary, please point people at this task, since we will probably update the binary on a regular basis.

Fixed:
FS#38  - After NAND Backup to SD card, when navigating to BootMii menu, and then entering SD option, FREEZE
 FS#338  - Autoboot delay broken
FS#347  - Bootmii b5 freezes on uncorrectable ECC Failure

Updated 08/05
FS#174  - Bootmii as IOS.. ignore some of the INI
